Jordan Jessup

Jordan has always loved the outdoors, growing up in the foothills of Western North Carolina, where he spent his time hunting, fishing, and playing baseball at East Surry High School. With dreams of becoming a professional baseball player in mind, he took his career to the next level where he first attended Surry Community College before transferring to Appalachian State University. While most of his time was spent on the baseball field, he still maintained his passion for hunting and the outdoors. After a successful career in college baseball, Jordan found his way back home, becoming an Exceptional Children’s Teacher for Stokes County. With the support of his wife, he teamed up with Troy and Corey to create Last Draw Outdoors along with handling the public relations and communications of the company.

Hunting to me is more than just the harvest. It is the scouting, preparation, & the memories that build up to the harvest. When I was growing up I watched my father leave every blackpowder season for a week in pursuit of freedom & adventure. Before he knew it my father took me and I sat on his lap and harvested my first deer. It was a button buck and to me it was a Boone & Crockett. That memory, that moment we shared can never be taken away. Till this day I remember that hunt and thank him for what he has taught me. It has driven me to keep seeking that adventure, watching the sun come up, listening to nature come alive. 7 out of 10 times I didn’t even see a deer. I hunt for those memories and friendship. I’m glad I got to share my experiences and share the knowledge I have to help yet another hunter get started, who helped a brother. Last Draw is all about adventure and family. In Western NC, there are good trophy bucks. We hunt for the adventure and challenges that everyday hunters experience, working all week to make more memories. Last Draw is a group of buddies that are striving to show the world that we don’t have to harvest a 180’ whitetail to get excited, we hunt 110’ + that put a smile of accomplishment on our faces. This is what fuels me.
